Carousel Bio Energy was born from a simple conviction: Africa is at the heart of global decarbonisation. Based in Africa and in London, our company supports States and their partners in the transformation of their development and infrastructure projects through an eco-carbon approach, which connects forest protection, public health, and sustainable prosperity.

Our flagship initiative is The Congo Basin Ark Fund, a private fund managed by our company, with the ambition to progressively transform into a sovereign climate fund serving the six countries of the Congo Basin: the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Republic of Congo, Cameroon, Gabon, the Central African Republic, and Equatorial Guinea. This unique mechanism directly links the preservation of the world’s second-largest tropical forest with job creation, the protection of public health, and the emergence of genuine climate sovereignty.

Everything begins with a concrete solution: equipping families with modern cookstoves. These devices reduce wood use by 80%, limit deforestation, and eliminate a large part of the indoor pollution that kills hundreds of thousands of women, men, and children every year. They save lives, protect the environment, and open the way to a new green economy, built on certified carbon credits that are valued on international markets.

CBIOE offers two complementary solutions: on one side, we develop and manage private fund initiatives, allowing investors and international foundations to directly engage in projects with high environmental and social impact; on the other side, we support African governments in the creation of their own sovereign climate funds.

We bring multi-sector expertise, covering new cities, hospitality, and construction, with a common goal: reduce emissions, meet ESG standards, and attract investors concerned with forests and the health of populations.

This expertise is at the heart of the New City of Kinshasa Kia Mona, where our sister-company Carousel Finance acts as financial and technical promoter, and where Carousel Bio Energy drives the low-carbon trajectory.
